Hey Retail Slaves! I'm Freddy, Crypt Keeper of RHU! Retail Hell Underground Blog is for anyone slaving away in a service related position who wants to rant, tell their story, blow off steam, or just have a chuckle about the insanity of working in the 10th Circle of Hell! I'm also the author of Retail Hell, the funny memoir about life as a handbag sales associate at an upscale department store!
Far from feeling sympathy, I think this is hilarious. Vain self-centered bitch.

I see Wally World hasn't learned, and neither have customers. Survival of the fittest.

I'm not sure who to blame when someone gets hurt. Is it the customers fault simply for being there early to get good deals, or is it the other customers fault for stampeding the store or is it the stores fault for not taking precautions. I do feel sorry for the people who are so unlucky as to get caught underneath a current of shoppers.
I'm happy that at least a few people were taking there time to get into the store and also helping up the people who fell. I'm dreading the day a news story pops up and says that someone died from this. =(

I read in the local paper today that people started camping out for black friday at 11am on Thanksgiving. They said they rushed through Thanksgiving dinner and then rushed to the store. Friday morning the automatic sprinklers turned on them (ha ha). After all the usual black friday ruckus, one customer said that it was pure hell. You put yourself in that hell idiot.
I just don't understand people. Rushing through holiday dinner to the point that you don't even get the chance to enjoy the holiday. Then beating and trampling each other to save a couple of bucks (yeah theres the Christmas spirit). I would rather enjoy the holidays. Also time is money and my time is worth more than the money that would be saved (if you're lucky enough to beat the other customers to the items before they run out)after spending all night waiting in line.
Let's see lining up at 11am. Some of the stores opened at 6am (although others not till 8) That's around 19 hours. Assuming their time is only worth $5 an hour that comes to at least $95 they would have to save.

I...just...can't...f*cking...believe this cr*p.
People are crazy. And stupid. Especially stupid.
I hope there's a very special level in hell reserved for whoever first thought of these stupid crazy sales.
As for these custys, well, if what Logan is saying is true, they're already punishing themselves. STUUUPIIIID.
(I'm sorry I'm repeating myself but I think my head's about to explode.)

Oh you poor guys! What won't people do in the name of greed?
We (of course) don't have Thanksgiving in the UK, ergo no Black Friday, but jeez – what is UP with people?!? Running for god's sake?!? "Ohh I'll just DIE if I don't get a [completely useless item] for half price!" urgh!
I have heard tales of people having items torn from their hands at sales by other customers, being elbowed out of the way, etc. Those of you who have to work during these times have my ENTIRE sympathy.

I feel sorry for the poor woman, but if you don't run at the sight of soccer moms foaming at the mouth over half off Tamogachis or whatever you damn kids are into these days (also, get off my lawn!) then that's the risk you take.
Black Friday represents nothing but pure greed and it's a tradition I hope dies a slow, painful, horrible, and malici...no, scratch that. I hope it dies a SWIFT, painful, horrible, and malicious death.
