Hey Retail Slaves! I'm Freddy, Crypt Keeper of RHU! Retail Hell Underground Blog is for anyone slaving away in a service related position who wants to rant, tell their story, blow off steam, or just have a chuckle about the insanity of working in the 10th Circle of Hell! I'm also the author of Retail Hell, the funny memoir about life as a handbag sales associate at an upscale department store!
Why is it so hard to just pick up after yourself anyway? Somehow I always manage to pick up anything I knock over in a store. It might not always be impeccably folded but I do try to get it in the right place and reasonably neat.

The store I'm going to work at Monday has a small natures section with soaps, local mugs/T-shirts, etc... Every time I'm waiting for my boyfriend to get his paycheck and buy things, I'm always there fixing shirts and hanging clothes back up the fell. I don't even have to, but that might be my job as cashier. I'm crazy, I actually like cleaning up other people's messes. LoL

That picture makes it look like a movie scene has been shot with Dirty Harry shooting it out with a gang of bank robbers. How can shoppers be so piggy? It makes you wonder what their homes look like! Granted, I'm not the neatest person in the world, but I wouldn't leave someone else's house looking like a bulldozer had gone through, nor would I leave a retail store looking the same. I just can't get past the idea that someone wouldn't put something away that they picked up to look at. You can bet that if I ever saw them trash an aisle like that, I'd say something. Sheesh!

Piggy shoppers or terrorists with multiple explosive devices?

This looks like my store. Granted, Walmart tends to look like a hillbilly bomb went off in it at any given time. But managers, CSMs, cashiers and associates are ALWAYS cleaning up product off the floor, off the displays and cleaning up trash from everywhere. Is it really that hard to clean up after yourselves?
