Hello RHU!
This is Book Diver with a tale from a past job of a sweet heavenspawn.
It's not always easy to work with a chronic illness, especially during flareups. One day, I was completely stressed and angry with corporate douchebags for their latest stunt, I was aching to the point where it felt like a pack of rabid hounds had been using me for a chew toy, and was about one custy away from a complete breakdown.
As I was walking off to sweet, glorious break for some badly needed downtime and food, I heard a little girl say to her mom, "Mommy, look! There's a princess!"
I looked up and around. She couldn't have meant... me, did she?
No one else was around. She did! (For the record, I was wearing a long dress and have hair past my waist.)
I had a smile on my face the rest of the day.
Sometimes one custy is all you need to lose it.
And sometimes one tiny customer is all you need to get it back. :)

So sweet! She sounds like a little princess herself.

One day I was feeling pretty crappy at work... and then a little kid came in wearing Batman shoes. He was quite proud of his Batman shoes.
So I smiled, lifted up my shirt to show him my Batman belt buckle, and told him Batman was the coolest dude ever. I think we made each other's day there.

That is so sweet. I love cute heavenspawn stories, it gives me hope that out there, there are kids being raised the right way.
