Skittles

Meh why whine about crap like that when you clearly got your coffee anyway?

The Last Archimedean

I've had my name misspelled when placing orders. As long as I get what I ordered I don't give a rat's tail how they spelled it -- they could type it up or write it down as Mr Mxyzptlk for all I care.

Jami

People misspell my name constantly. Even when I do spell it out for them. Heck, my teachers in school would misspell it even when it was written out in front of them.

And it's not just my first name. My middle and last name are constantly misspelled too.

It's actually very annoying. Especially when I've spelled it correctly for them and they don't believe me. I know how to spell my own doggone name!

lamer

My name is spelled wrong all the time. I just tell them to try their best so that they can read it. Because I'm soooo used to it being mispronounced, I recently had a bill collector call and tell me I owed them $12,000! That's when I remembered she mispronounced my first name. Yeah, wasn't me.

I have a relatively uncommon (but getting more common) name, but I've between called everything from Veronica to Emily.

JoJo

Sa-BEAN? Wow, I thought people messed up my name...

Sable

He really isn't whining. He probably just thinks it's amusing. At the most, slightly annoying.

Jennifer

My name is Jen (very obviously a female in appearance) and they have given me a cup that said Jim a couple times.

Andie Girl

I understand its your name, but in places like starbucks where they just want to get you in and out quickly, I think people get a little butthurt over something stupid.

Sure, if it were somewhere I went a lot, or someplace where having the correct name would matter, I would be sure to correct them, but people misspell Andie (my name) and my boyfriend's name (Jimmy) all the time.

They usually put Jamie for him and Annie for mine.

candieaddict

My friend is named Nalani. She gets it misspelled constantly at Starbucks. It happens.

It happens. I had a teacher right "Candance" once, of course it was my dance teacher, which made it even more hilarious lol

Nomnom

I had a friend named Cheme (pronounced SHIH-mee) and I think she's just totally given up giving her real name and tells them her name is Mimi when they ask for a name.

On a related note, on of my uncles is named Doug and his grandmother would always spell his name Dug. Like on his birthday cards and stuff. Dear Dug. That is somewhat more awful.

Cheap Christian Louboutin Shoes

Working at a library, one sees all sorts. I can honestly say that the more tattoos, piercings and rainbow-colored hair a patron has, the politer they are! OTOH, I have been shrieked at, condescended to and sneered at by more Ken and Barbie types than I can shake a stick at. So, you just keep being YOU, tattoos, pretty hair and piercings. We love you just the way you are!
