Greetings Curious Scroller,
If you've never landed in this part of cyber space before, you have taken a hard, fast plunge into the fiery depths of work hell. RHU is dedicated to giving the service worker a voice. If you are an angry customer, a corporate suite, a homophobic race-hater, and you don't like skull masks or swear words, this blog isn't for you. Click away now, before your ears bleed and your eyes explode.
I'm Freddy, Crypt Keeper of Retail Hell Underground RHU -- a place for service slaves to have a voice, tell their story, support each other, or just have a chuckle about the insanity of working in the 10th Circle of Hell! I'm also the author of "Retail Hell," the funny memoir about life as a handbag sales associate at an upscale department store! The sequel, "Return To The Big Fancy," has just been released in hardcover and e-reader and is available wherever books are sold!
Which particular grandma is this refering to? Cause one of my grandmas would probably only faintly smell of smoke and ashes. That doesn't seem so bad.

Ewww, this reminds me of having to stay with the old lady next door after school. Smelled like potpourri and death...

Both my grandmas are dead. My paternal grandma died of a brain tumor that started as skin cancer before I was 10 years old. (Wear sun screen, people! Being tan isn't worth dying!)
My maternal grandma died when I was 16 of a sudden heart attack. She always smelled pretty. She took good care of herself. I remember how we'd go to Woolworth's to look for her rouge. (I'd love to find out if that rouge still exists. It came in a little black tin with three gold flowers on it.)
I wouldn't mind smelling like my maternal grandma. It would bring back some happy memories.

DH's paternal grandmother wore Tabu. To this day, twelve years after she passed away, this smell reminds me of her.
