The Last Archimedean

Is the more expensive one chocolate flavored or something? Because otherwise there's no reason to buy it...

Madscoutleader

Well, truth be told, there's no need to buy EITHER; that's a US dollar sigh in front of the 6.99, and, so far as I know the US has safe, clean drinking water on tap.

LaserSpawn

the tap water where i live is disgusting. i wont even give it to my hamster to drink.

besides, id buy the cheap water anyway. to me it tastes loads better than aquafina.

The Last Archimedean

I'm with laser on this one. I wouldn't serve my tap water to Charles Manson. [Even though he probably deserevs it.] It smells like it comes straight from a swimming pool and that's AFTER it comes through the filter on the faucet.

Thankfully, I can get 2+ gallons of water at the store for $4, in 8 ounce bottles [a nice, convienient size.]

 TechTiger

Just because it's safe and clean doesn't mean it tastes good.

Me, I've never had really any problems with tap water unless it tasted like sucking on an old axle. On the occasions I buy bottled water, I buy it because I want some water to drink and I'm not home where I can get it out of the fridge. (I have a filter pitcher, that I mainly use to keep fridge-cold water on hand, rather than because my tap water tastes bad.)

Nocturnesthesia

I have good tapwater now (yay Canada), but my teeth would probably be rotted if I drank the over-fluoridated crap where I grew up. The toilets and sinks of everybody in the neighborhood were all brown and gross from how hard the water was.

That said, I still sure as fuck wasn't paying for bottled water. It was sweet tea and knockoff-Perrier mostly, it came to the same fuckin' price.

Humor_Me

I live in the same area as LaserSpawn. I can vouch that the water here is disgusting. Even my dog hates it, but I can't carry enough to use it to fill the dog bowls. Since we go out often, I take bottled water with me so she can get a drink. She loves the bottled water so much more. I actually like Aquafina better than most of the other brands. The Arrowhead and Disani taste like dust. I'll admit I'm spoiled though. When I lived in the TN/KY/VA area, we had great spring water. The closest I've found to match it is LeBleu. I actually wrote to the company after picking up a bottle on a trip and told them how much I loved it. They sent me a t-shirt! I absolutely hated IN well water too. It tasted like sulfur, was rusty, and hard. I don't miss the rust. It ruined everything till we put in a water softener.
