Ad set Tuesday Night I ended up paper signing a bunch of bulk stacks that were out but had no sign (we only had 11 eSigns left in the store. No way in hell that was going to work, plus no way in hell was I going to put them on free formed piles of merchandise just so they can be knocked over and broken come Black Friday). Guess how many signs I had to print.
Go on. Guess.
384 (not 384 bulkstacks. Each sign is double sided, and I had to print both the promo and non-promo signs). And I missed a couple bulkstacks.
Then, just as I'm nearly done scanning the store, the manager says, "Hey, why not switch ALL of the bulk stacks over to paper signs?"
I facepalmed. You couldn't have mentioned that an hour and a half ago when I asked you if it was okay for me to go do the signing instead of playing front end supe?!
I was grateful to have a crew of 4 others with me that night. I could at least concentrate on changing over those signs. Whether or not I'll have enough old sign holders remains to be seen.
