Greetings Curious Scroller,
If you've never landed in this part of cyber space before, you have taken a hard, fast plunge into the fiery depths of work hell. RHU is dedicated to giving the service worker a voice. If you are an angry customer, a corporate suite, a homophobic race-hater, and you don't like skull masks or swear words, this blog isn't for you. Click away now, before your ears bleed and your eyes explode.
I'm Freddy, Crypt Keeper of Retail Hell Underground RHU -- a place for service slaves to have a voice, tell their story, support each other, or just have a chuckle about the insanity of working in the 10th Circle of Hell! I'm also the author of "Retail Hell," the funny memoir about life as a handbag sales associate at an upscale department store! The sequel, "Return To The Big Fancy," has just been released in hardcover and e-reader and is available wherever books are sold!
In my store today I witness:
Leftover turkey sandwich (in the break room)
Apathetic Happy Holiday
Beeping Security Sensor (but the happens a lot)
Ridiculously long lines
Pissed off store Worker
Someone buying the bunch of gift cards
Does the Cat Fight count if it wasn't physical?
Missing Price Tag (3 times)
Many Screaming Children
Empty Sales Rack
Shopping cart with a Janky Wheel
2 Declined Credit Cards
The Miserable Spouses
and Couples auguring about money.
But I'm home now. yeah.

Lesse, I had:
Ridiculously long line (but didn't we all?),
Annoying Christmas music,
Store security sensor beeping (my manager had a bunch in her hand and walked too close to the door so they were going off all through the store as she went to the back to deactivate them),
Miserable husband/boyfriend (and in a couple of cases teenage children who vowed never again to go Black Friday shopping with their mothers),
A few missing price tags,
A couple of declined credit cards,
And a couple arguing about money.

Beeping Security Sensor
Bunch of Gift Cards
Missing Price Tag
People Cutting in Line
