IMO, there ALWAYS ought to be a "medium" size option. It makes sense, because sometimes you want a soda with your meal, something to wash it down, you know? And a "small" drink just isn't enough, half way through your burger, you're out of liquid sugary goodness. But the "large" drink comes in a cup the size of a fucking bucket, and there's no way in hell you're gonna lug THAT around for long. Plus, you're gonna have to pee every 15 minutes. You just want a drink that is larger than the "small", cheap, and reasonably sized. (16-20 oz?)
And what is the deal with those ginormous-as-fuck bladder-buster drink deals? Who the fuck needs a 64-oz drink?

I solve that problem by ordering two small drinks, WMD. Although around here even a single "small" is 16 oz., more than enough for me. A "medium" is about 32 oz. and a "large" is insane.
