The thing is I don't blame her - there was a musician / celebrity / TV presenter in the UK, Roy Castle (he was the presenter on a kids TV programme called 'Record Breakers'), who died from Lung Cancer - not because he smoked, but because he'd played the trumpet in various nightclubs back when smoking in public places like bars and clubs was allowed in the UK.

And seriously smokers, we understand that you have an addiction and suffer from it without smoking (I confess, I have an addiction to strong caffine that I really try to cut out / reduce my intake on), but either do it before or after (preferably after) because any non-smokers near you will dispise the stench and passive smoking is a reality that people should not have to have inflicted on them.

sorry for the rant - inconsiderate smokers really get my back up.

Good for her. If you're thst addicted to cancer sticks that you can't sit through a single concert without lighting up, you need to stay home so you don't expose people who want to breathe clean air to your pollutants.

Smoking is bad for the lungs of any musician who depends on their lungs. A singer included, I was a music major for some years, and I remembered how much one of my professors ranted that one of the most talented players was ruining his lungs to cigarettes!

Skittles

All the studies claiming second hand smoke is in any way related to cancer are misrepresented. They had made such a point that it was by the time the results were in and pointed to that not being the case at all they had to lie to save face. There is no link between second hand smoke and cancer, the only resluts from the studies were statistical anomolies.

Kristina

You know I could kind of see her point if they weren't OUTSIDE. They are outside, there is some rain going on and it looked like some wind movement as well. I personally wouldn't spoke in such a sitution only because I don't like being jostled and wouldn't want to ash/burn anyone accidentally. That said Madonna needs to get over herself.
