Tera's Shocking Tale of Nursing Neglect at Metal Care Facility

This story happened a few months back and it happened to Foofy’s roommate, who I’ll call ‘Mooch’.

Warning: 'Dust' may fly into your eye. It did to me.

Mooch works at a Mental Care Facility in town that watches people of all ages. She was the primary caretaker of a 6 year old girl with Pica who I’ll call ‘NomNom’. For those who don’t know, Pica is an eating disorder where you ingest non-food items. All children have it, but you usually grow out of it. It becomes a disorder when you don’t. I have Pica myself.

NomNom was in this facility for 2 or 3 years. Her mother couldn’t care for her at the time because her case was so severe and with her father overseas in Afghanistan it wasn’t safe for her to be at home, so she was placed to be treated while her mother took classes. They were slated to get her back about 6 months after this happened.

One day, Mooch had a coworker call in sick and was moved to a different area and a different nurse, I don’t have a short name for this useless, lazy whore-bitch, was put in charge of NomNom and disaster struck.

The bitch gets NomNom ready for bed and tucks her in and decides to throw away her pacifier. NomNom has one because if she’s chewing on it, she doesn’t have the urge to eat anything else. It’s there for safety more than anything. The bitch decides she doesn’t need one and throws it away. Then, upon realizing she was a WHOLE MINUTE LATE FOR HER BREAK OH NOES rushes out. She gets halfway to the break room and realizes she left a bottle of cleaner in NomNom’s room. But that can wait until she has her precious cigarette, right?

Another nurse happened to walk by NomNom’s room and peeked in to check on her and found her laying on the floor, having OPENED THE BOTTLE, DRANK THE CONTENTS, AND HAD BEEN IN THE PROCESS OF EATING THE PLASTIC!! They did what they could, but NomNom was comatose and later declared brain-dead. They had to take her off life-support after a couple of weeks.

NomNom’s father was flown back in and went to the facility where his wife was waiting, and they called Mooch in. Mooch was poised to be arrested for gross neglect causing the death of this child when she pointed out she hadn’t even been in the section. She’d been filling in for another nurse and they’d called the bitch in to watch NomNom.

They pull the bitch into the room and she wasn’t even sorry. They asked her about the pacifier, and she told them straight up she threw it away. “I mean, she’s, like, six! She doesn’t need a pacifier! She’s not a BABY! So I threw it away for her.”

They asked her about the cleaner left in the child’s room. “Well, I forgot I put it there, and I was late for my smoke break. I figured it could wait to be put up for fifteen minutes.”

I think the only reason the father didn’t pound her face in right then was because the bitch was a woman.

The story didn’t make the news as they wanted to keep it private. Other than this one incident, the facility is a pretty good place, no one else was ever injured like this. The bitch was locked up for a very long time.

The only good, cute ray of light in this horrible dredge I could get was the teddy bear. NomNom’s father gave her a teddy bear before being deployed and it was the only thing, the ONLY THING, NomNom never tried to eat or chew on. Mooch said she never even drooled on it. And while she was comatose, that bear never left her arms, she had a death grip on it up until she finally passed.

…well, I had to end this with something sweet.

I don't even know what to say. I feel so sorry for the parents. If that had been my kid the nurse wouldn't have had to worry about prison, because I would have ripped her throat out with my bare hands.

One question:

How the fucking hell did this utter waste of human skin get to be a fucking nurse, especially one that works in a fucking mental care facility? I mean, even if no-one had explained why NomNom had a pacifier, anyone with half a brain would be able to work it out, as long as they were aware that what her condition was. Even if this fuckwit was utterly ignorant of why NomNom was in there, or only heard that it was 'Pica' without knowing what 'Pica' was, who in their right mind would take the property of a child that they don't normally look after and decide to simply throw it away?

As for leaving the cleaner out, even if NomNom DIDN'T have Pica, simply the fact she was six should have been reason enough not to leave the cleaning fluid lying around. The fact she also had a condition which made her prone to eating things she really shouldn't only underlines the utter dumbassery and outright negligence on display here by this stinking drop of sweat from Satan's ballsack.

Yeah being a woman would not have saved this trash from my son's father. Not in the slightest. Of course he would have to beat me to her. Christ on a cracker who does ANYTHING like that? You work in a care facility and are specifically in the mental wing, you NEVER EVER leave cleaning supplies out for anyone to get into, least of all a CHILD.

My ex was a GNA/CNA. She once told me that, on average, they are so desperate for bodies that they (being various care facilities) sometimes hire back people who have been let go for medical mischief.

My personal answer would be: think of all the jobs you've had and all the assholes you've been forced to work with. How the hell did they get those jobs?...

My son is 6 too, so I feel horrible for this family. If it were my child, nobody would have been able to stop me from pounding the shit out of the nurse. I cannot imagine the hell this poor mother (and father) has to go through now. My heart and prayers go out to them.

It seems like the people who know their shit and would do a great job get passed up for.... well, I would say doucheturds, but that would be considered a compliment in her case. If that was my kid, I would do shit to her that would make demons wince, especially if she showed no remorse after what she did. I am at a loss for words as to how to describe this filthy sorry excuse for shit. In fact, calling her a cunt would be too nice. Simply put, her name should be the worst kind of word in the world. That is absolutely awful, and the fact that that "nurse" showed no remorse at all for poor little Nomnom's death just makes it all so much worse.

On another note, there is a misspelling in the title of the article. It's listed as a "METAL care facility". However, it would be awesome to stay in a Metal Care Facility. Staff dressed up like members of KISS, the building looks like a concert venue, therapy includes Guitar Riffs 101 and Fundamental Speed Metal Drumming.

If Nomnom had been my child, I would be in jail, convicted of murdering this horrible excuse for a human being right now. Let me change that: I would be free as a bird, because NO jury in the country would convict me.

If I remember correctly, they didn't sue the facility because it wasn't as though this was common. It's a VERY well staffed place, and most of the employee's are good people with common sense. This was pretty much a freak accident.

The parents felt that suing the place wouldn't do any good, and would probably displace a lot of people who needed them. The single person who was responsible was punished as harshly as legally possible -- When/If she gets out she can NEVER have a nursing license again (around here, that's GOOD money) and can NEVER, EVER FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE hold a position where she is in charge of the well-being of anything higher up than a goldfish.

I would have shut the door with the father in the room with that bitch and said 'You've got 5 minutes before we need to take her to jail. No cameras, go with it.' personally.

I have a 5 yr old grandson I would die for (or kill for if it came to that) so this story hits close to home. Shutting that sharding piece of excrement in a prison cell is too civilized. I'm all for old fashioned hang-em-high/draw and quarter justice.

As someone who works in Mental Health this just gives the rest of us who do our job a bad name. As I know there is very little common sense left in this world we live in but it should have been used in this situation. As I said before I work in the field, and if I end up going to another site I will NOT change anything unless I am told to do so by the site Nurse or Supervisor. I also have worked in a child care center and again it is known to keep cleaners away from children, with or without illnesses. Its even on the label because of people like this.

I understand why the family would want to keep this private, my heart goes out to them, but I almost wish they HAD put this story in the news. That sad excuse of a human being deserves what would come to her from her face on the front of every news site, paper, and magazine. It would be one thing if this had been a freak accident, but this vile thing had no remorse for what she'd done. She should be ostracized no matter where she goes.

Having just had a child myself I can say for sure:
1) this woman would have been in serious danger had myself or wildcatdaddy heard that as an excuse.
2) you can sure as hell that should she survive giving that excuse, she would be in prision the rest of her life
3) it would not have been kept "quiet"-this would have been out there for everyone to know-so perhaps this could be prevented form happening again
4) the extent of my wrath would have NO bounds in making sure that this situation was taken care of....
my heart goes out to that family and I pray they find peace <3
