It's finally happening to me...You know how you see pictures of stuff, and you're like "Wow people do that?"
Every once in a while on this lovely site you see pictures of customers leaving unwanted purchases in the store. It's gotta be like every once in a while. I was not so happily informed it possibly happens every 30 minutes.
There I am happily stocking shelves in the food isle of my new job. Checking dates of everything and doing rotations all by myself. I go up on the ladder to switch em around, come down and someone has put a garbage can on top of the stock I was suppose to put on the shelf.
It wasn't a large garbage can so I'm like: "Okay Canadia let's go ask the supervisor where this goes."
I put it back and start going at the shelves again. The further I go in...the more stuff that seems to pop up out of nowhere. I'm talking like 7 items spotted in my aisle alone within 2 hours. I honestly had no idea how often this happened. It didn't shake me too much but slowly and possibly in the near future I can see myself possibly in a padded room rocking back and forth in a straight jacket.
Aside from customers that love to teleport items all over the store I ran into my first ever actual retail hellspawn. This kid was possibly 3 years old, I'm stocking shelves and he knocked over what I was stocking onto the floor when I wasn't looking.
I heard a crash and before I could turn around all I heard was: "You pick that up right now!"
His MOTHER made him pick it up and I thanked her, she smiled and walked away. I was actually fascinated by this kid. Like one of those nature documentary hosts watching a wild animal.
Now this Hellspawn was a little tamer than I would have expected. At P.C.C.C and a previous grocery job I had to put up with one that LOVED to screech at the top of it's lungs while the parents did absolutely nothing. We're talking like screeching for the fun of it, not because it was hurt or hungry.
Then there's the 10 year old boys at P.C.C.C that went into the men's and women's washroom and put ketchup all over the toilet seats....
