One of the full timers went on vacation for the week so I've been given my own isle to put stock away. By now I have a general idea of where everything is so if a customer asks me where it is I can generally point them in the right direction.
So naturally I'm going all over the store to show customers where the item is they are looking for. My entire isle is STUFFED with boxes. We're talking boxes of different sized bowls, tons of plastic wrap, kitchen utensils, brooms, mops, plungers. Half the stock was also sold so nearly all of it needed to go out, no problem at all. Then she appeared...
She came around the corner with her shopping cart down my packed isle. As soon as she came around the corner someone had paged me to the front cash and I was speed walking down the isle towards her. I know the customer has the right of way, so when I got 3 feet from her, I stopped suddenly and patiently waiting for her to grab an item off the shelf and continue on her way. So I waited...and waited...and waited some more (Ok not that long). Until finally I asked if I could move her cart a little to the side so I could get through. She nodded yes, and I walked by.
She had been looking at scrubbers for pans... I don't know about you guys, but it's a dollar store, and they're all the same product, I'd just grab one and continue on my way. Maybe I'm just being a bitch by ranting about it but that wasn't the first time I ran into her.
The second time I was putting away stock, and I had been called up. Since I'm in training I rushed up again to see the same lady again. I get to the cashier, and she tells me there's some items to go back, a cart with a bunch of little items. No problem again. As I'm walking away though she tries to pay with credit...It's clearly marked on the registers we don't take credit cards it's debit or cash only. Thankfully she had debit and paid that way. I'm putting the items away, and I found the exact same scrubber from my isle she blocked. "Are you fucking kidding me..."
She blocked off an isle to stand in front of pan scrubbers for 10 minutes carefully picking which one only to get to the cash registers and go: I don't want these anymore...
