The Singing Library Clerk

I don't know if I want to try Grasshopper or Brandy Alexander Chocolate Chip more.

I also can't help but wonder how long it'll be before some idiot parent buys this for their kids without reading the label and blames the company instead of their own stupidity.

Those sound really fun! I'm a little surprised at the popsicles though, doesn't alcohol have a lower freezing point than water or milk? Would you have to set your freezer colder? 'Cause I know the bottle of vodka in my freezer NEVER freezes...

Damn Yankee

Oh hell yes!

Chicajojobe

Those look freaking delicious!

Living in Florida is only 'lucky' if you don't live here. :P It's miserable most of the year, and full of tourists the rest.

Alcohol does not freeze at normal freezer temperatures. My freezer is set as low as it will go and the bottle of Kahlua never even gets ice crystals. Alcohol is used as antifreeze in frozen foods, to keep ice crystals small, so it's probably 'cocktail flavored' with a little bit of vodka in it. Doesn't mean they're not good (I have no idea if they are or not) but they're probably not actual bar-drink strength.

I wonder if it is some method of flash freezing the alchohols and muxing it with other stuff to work in freezers?

grmrsan

Ok, so it is apparently either liquid nitrogen freezing, or mixing it with gelatin.

It might depend on the ammount of alcohol in it. I had a bottle of champagne explode on me in the freezer one New Year's Eve. My boyfriend was a bit drunk at the time and had put it in the freezer to chill and completely forgotten about it.
