Anyways it's just a couple nights a week, a little supplemental income for me. A quick little funny story about that new job:
Me and CGC (which stands for a coworker, Coast-Guard-Chick) are working every Tuesday closing shift together, at least through the summer. A guy came in last Tuesday and got a couple samples, talking about how he “always comes in every Tuesday” to buy some of our edibles for his kids and himself. He did indeed buy two bags, it was a nice experience all around.
Funny thing was, after he left, I asked CGC if she'd even seen him before because while I work 5-9, she works 2-9 on Tuesdays. She said no. We laughed wondering if maybe he usually came in super-early on Tuesdays since neither of us had even seen him before!
The cafe is super-busy as always, but things have been good with Queenie gone. I'm still correcting people who think he was fired. I think he knows it because I ran into him the other day, and we were oddly cool and professional towards each other, not friendly like we used to be at all. It's okay with me, honestly, cause his true colors came out in his bitch maneuver, and I'd rather not associate with him.
We did have one bout of craziness:
One of our coworkers that I haven't mentioned before had a situation with a stalker customer. You know the type: he'd come in, order, and sit....for hours...watching her, flirting to an uncomfortable level, watching her constantly. It was really creepy.
Luckily the guy had to go back home (like Michigan or something) so he's gone now but he managed to get her phone # (I don't know how, she did NOT give it to him) and he's been texting her like mad. She told him to bug off, and we're hoping he does.
I'm talking about this because last Sunday, I was working with her (I'll call her Italia), Rapunzel and SingingServer. The guy was hanging out still with us being closed so I told SingingServer about the situation. Now, SingingServer is a tough guy, he's in his 50s and doesn't like anyone harassing the girls. So he went out to the porch, started sweeping around the guy's feet and stuff and reminding him we were closed. Managed to make the guy feel uncomfortable enough that he got up and left. Yay!
