Just about all of these points apply to any deli-type restaurant.... actually, to restaurants in general.

Regarding point #1: If you're going to be that goddamn picky about things, go buy your special Russian flatbread or whatever your crazy request is at the one grocery store in 100 miles that sells it and make your own damn sandwich. Restaurants only carry items that more than one person in the state wants.


The only thing I don't like at any Subway is when they try to put rhiney (sp?) tomatoes on my sandwich. As in, not ripe... cruchy tomatoes. Some may like that kind of tomato but I do not. I understand you don't care but I will ask you to remove them. That was an interesting point about the cheese. Every Subway I have ever been to has an expectation that you WILL want cheese and always ask that question after I choose the bread.


I thought it was the mayo, oil, and other sauces that they can put on your sammich that made the difference between high and low calorie.


I'll just take my meatball sub with provolone and olives and shut up. I never complain to people that are making me food.


I've got some issues with this rant. Here's the deal, sunshine: You're getting paid to make my sandwich. If I ask for something specific on it, it's your job to put it on the damn sandwich. If I can see the ingredient in front of me, then I have every expectation to have it put on my sandwich. Until you have something stating that I'm only allowed to have XX amount of whatever, don't get snarky with me. I'm not going to be grateful if you give me an extra olive. I have no issues whatsoever paying for something if I ask for extra, but I do have issues with the person behind the counter acting as though I am imposing upon them by asking them to do their job. I work in customer service too, and by no means do I agree with "The Customer Is Always Right", but neither is the employee. There would be a lot less of this bullsh*t if employees realize that.
