I had a creepy crusty today. I was serving this woman and her partner, they were probably about the same age as me, and we were making small talk when the creepy started.
Creepy: I went to the beach today, you should go to the **** Beach after work!
Me: Uh, I'm not really a beach-y type. I prefer to stay indoors.
Creepy: You really should go to the beach! here, I'll give you my sister's number, she'll go to the beach with you!
Me: No thank you, I have to cook dinner when I get home and then drive my husband to work.
Creepy: You should go out! live a little! Here, give me a pen, I'll write my sister's number down. She'll go with you! She'll even drive you there and afterwards you can go to the pub!
Me: No thank you, I'm okay.
Creepy: Give me a pen! You need her number!
Creepy's partner: Eh, leave her alone, she's working.
Creepy: She needs to go to the beach!
Me: I'm really tired, all I want to do after work is go home and sit down.
Creepy *pulls out phone*: Fine! What's your number? I'll give it to my sister, and she'll call you!
Creepy's partner: Leave her alone, she's on duty.
Creepy: C'mon, tell me your number!
Me: Um, I really don't want to go.
Creepy: Give me your number! My sister will call you!
At this point Creepy's partner dragged her away, but I was already way past weirded out. Who tries to give their family members' phone number to a random checkout chick?
When she started asking for my number I was incredibly creeped out! Also, what made her think I'd get into a stranger's car and drive 40 minutes away? No way! Stranger danger!
I'm still creeped out and confused.
