Does anyone ever have customers who just refuse to believe you, even if their request is ridiculous?
This happened about 2 years ago when I first started working at Mobile Phone Carrier, but it still frustrates me to think about.
A woman came in and had her SD card stuck in her phone. I tried every way of getting out, but it couldn't be done. She asked me if we had a pair of tweezers around, but being a phone store, tweezers aren't something we carry (who would have thought?).
I told her that I'm sorry, but we have none. She looked at me and said "Really? You don't have a pair of tweezers laying around?"
No... We don't.
A coworker walked out, and the woman turned to her and said "This girl here seems to think that you guys don't have any tweezers here!" My coworker gave her a weird look and said that we don't, and walked away.
Uh, WTF. If we had tweezers, why would I lie about it and say that we didn't? I mean, I get that she may have thought we have tools to fix phones - some stores will do repairs (they aren't corporate like us, though). But for her to imply that I was either lying or clueless ticked me off.
