First time writer here, name is Mintypoison. And I need to vent a little. Has anyone ever had that coworker that complained about everything? I am no stranger to complaining myself, but this new person at my job takes the freaking cake in it.
This girl is a key holder, so openings and closing are expected of her. This should come as no surprise to anyone since, hey, that's what the job entails!
She apparently didn't get the memo. "Why do I have to come in at 7:30 to open?! No one is even here!"
The whole point of holiday hours, dumbass, is that we open earlier and close later. This happens all the time, and you should know the drill having worked at this mall before. Not only that, but it's common knowledge in my store that I currently work two jobs and have worked three at a time before.
A coworker had a family emergency the other day, and this person had to cover for them after she had left from her opening shift to close.
"I know you feel now Minty, working two jobs!"
Fuck you, no you don't. If you don't have to work multiple, sometimes a full seven days of back-to-back 13+ hour days in a row over the holidays, you don't know. If the checks you get from both jobs don't even cover rent, you don't. Fucking. Know.
And it isn't just what hours she has to work. She complains about things at home. Again, normal right? NOPE.
"I have it so hard! My parents make me pay $200 a month to live there! Not only that, but they're going to give it back to me when I move out. THE HORROR!"
I was done at this point. This girl has damn near everything. EVERYTHING. I take the bus in, and she asks why I don't just drive in. Because my family isn't made of money and can't afford a car. I come in totally beat from classes and my second job, and she asks why I don't just drop out if it's so hard. Because it took me 3 years to get in, and I want out of this hell hole of a mall, you fucking idiot! Everyday it's something different.
Her most recent and favorite is how some person tried to run her off the road. The way she tells it, it sounds like her car was totalled (it wasn't), she was hurt (she wasn't), and it was all the other guys' fault (it wasn't). The girl can't drive, and so lost control when she freaked out about someone merging close to her, lost control of her car, and hit the guard rail. The other person wasn't at fault. She wants to try and find this guy to sue or something, both of which are impossible ideas since she was at fault.
"Well my car is like... damaged. He needs to pay for it!"
Shut up and deal with things like a freaking adult.
Sorry for the wall 'o text, but this chick has been getting on my nerves more and more lately. She doesn't do her job, and when she does she fucks it up big time, she isn't professional, and doesn't understand how her coworkers can't be party girls like her when we don't get money from mommy and daddy. Now I'm off to try and sleep in hopes of not killing her tomorrow, even though I'm sure that I'll get the, "I woke up too early!" bull all over again.
Thanks for letting me vent guys.
