I was in the store last week with a giant cart full of food - replacing every damn thing in my fridge after we lost power for 5 days. A young couple with a stroller came up and asked if they could pay for my food with their EBT because they needed cash.
Now I have never used EBT, but I was pretty sure that's not legal. Also, I had $200 worth of food in my cart, and I certainly didn't have that sort of cash on me.
I tried to tell the cashier about it when I got to the register, because I saw them soliciting other people in the store, but she didn't understand me and just kept saying I wasn't allowed to do that.
I'm not trying to do it! I'm trying to tell you that these people are pestering your customers! *facepalm*
