Lady Red

What a jerk, that man is probably someone who wants everyone to be just as miserable as he is. I hope the girl feels better soon. It’s not that hard to just say no and leave it at that.

Raygina

Nobody should say things like that to children.

Son of Thrognar

"And you look like someone who's about to get his ass kicked!"

Senior Retail Lady

What 13 year old says, 'I was visibly shaken'? Is this bs or did the reporter screw up?

LittleBirdy

SRL, that quote was from the mom

Winter

Nobody should talk to a child like that, but I understand the frustration...the Girl Scouts in my neck of the woods are ruthless and have been known to block carts and trip people who don't buy. They're mobsters, yo.

Trucker Bitch

Ye Gods. I'm glad I've never come across anything like that during my stint in Girl Guides (What Girl Scouts are in Canada). Both as a Girl and then as a Leader. We never had anything like this happen while selling cookies. We still went door-to-door when I first started as a kid. That was fazed out later.

And we would never allow our girls to be as aggressive with our cookie sales as I've heard of down in the US. While the cookie sales are our biggest fundraiser, it's never been competitive like I've heard the US cookies sales.

Fawful

WAT. Seriously, what the hell was that guy thinking?

GSGirl

For the record, the only crazy inappropriate shirts I've had to wear were due to Girl Scouts. I had CIT t shirts that said "Buddy Up!" and a cookie themed shirt I had to wear at 15 that said "Got Milk" across my chest.

I know I have more, but those were the only ones I wear for more than one day.
