Retail Hell Underground: Orange Empire: Sexist Throwback From The 1950's

I had a customer once want a 5 gallon bucket of paint mixed up. So I go to lift off the cart and into the spinner. This man was probably 40-60, with an impressive gut, and balding. I am a hefty 27 year old woman who took this job at the Orange Empire to work hard and with my hands.

He, hand to god, told me "Women shouldn't lift heavy things, it's not good for their insides."

Later, my coworker and I had a good laugh because she has an infant and his carseat and diaper bag weigh just as much, not to mention that he himself is getting heavier. We both agreed I should have commented on how much weight women lift when lifting children and their necessities.
