You got to love tourists.
Now I'm a Cali person so it always trips me out when you have custys from out of town get all excited to see a beach or a surfboard within the area.
Anyway, I had family from the south who apparently never been to a shoreline in their area because they were like a kid a candy store purchasing gifts and souvenirs like a t-shirt, mug or shot glass with a beach theme on it all the while remarking on their shopping experience.
"Y'all look! I got me a keychain with a surfer on it! Isn't that precious?" (insert giggles)
Anyhoo, I had some foreign tourists that had to gall to slip me a piece of paper at the register with something scribbled on it. Apparently he wanted some sunglasses that were $$ and on the paper he wrote the words 50% meaning he wanted half off on them.
WTF? We're not a flea market or some bargain basement shop!
I told him no to which he wrote down 30%.
Again, I said no.
Finally he put down 20% and I'm thinking, "Why do think that it's okay to haggle in a business? This might work in an open market but not here!"
Seeing how I won't budge, he left frustrated without buying anything.
Good riddance I say!
