"But some retail analysts are more subdued when it comes to the effect of Halloween spending and what it may do tide retailers over, at least until Christmas spending kicks in."

Gee, ya think maybe it's because the only holiday you idiots advertise between July and January is fucking xmas? When halloween stuff is only in stores for like fifteen minutes on September 1 before you're taking a giant red and green dump on everything...

TT, I totally agree with you. Christmas stuff in my town rolled out not even a week after Halloween. It's now a week before Halloween and everything Halloween is on sale. Whatever happened to "wait til the holiday is over to put things on sale" thing?

Mom and I must be weird, we do nothing for halloween. Might be because three years in a row and we've had 0 kids come to the house. Okay, so mom spent 10$ on two boxes of chips. And she gave one away to the neighbour, and plans to give the second to him as well.
