From Mick:
This is my rant against the retailer we all know and love as "Clay Mart."
In November, the local Clay Mart (#4395) held a "blue saturday" sale on the (blue) saturday following thanksgiving.
The item that had interested me (IN THE PUBLISHED FLYER) was a 16gb PNY premium SD card for $17.49. (nice, seeing as how my 1st SD card in 2004 was 128mb@ $70) Even my buddy-buds at worst scam had not come up with a price quite this low, so at 6 am, I joined the barrage of bargain-conscious shoppers (about a dozen) at the gates o' clay mart.
Upon finding my way to the electronics department, of course no such product was there waiting for the FIRST (and only, as best that I can tell.) customer to ask for the sale item as published in the "blue saturday" flyer.
I do NOT do asshole custy unless I really receive super sub par service. I asked electronics, who had told me the damned thing wasn't even in the system, to PLEASE (<---"please") follow up on this, as anyone involved with product logistics knows, if it is not "in the system" the chances for redemption are small.
Upon leaving the store, I also asked the manager lady on duty to PLEASE follow up on this. To make a long story longer, I checked back week by week, talking to the gentleman (Ray) in charge of procurement for the local clay marts. Still no follow up.
The next time I checked back, I got a useless combative balding manager who denied the very existance of the manager on duty for "blue" saturday.
Knowing by this time that no fucking body in that store really gave shit one about "customer satisfaction", I off hand asked no one in particular if they had Kresge corp's phone number.
Then I went to the feedback section of Schmears/Clay Mart site, and told whomever the difficulty that I was having, which elicited a polite response, but still no action.
Today is now the 6th of Jan 2012, and I have heard NOTHING from useless Clay Mart. I even told them I like their store because I'm not really fond of Walton's stores, which of course also did no good.
I did check the closings list as it was first posted, and did not see claymart 4395 listed. They're about $20 at worst scam this week, and I even wonder if they bother to try to keep them in stock, as I KNOW Worst Scam indeed will have this item in their system. I think Hellgreens asks about $50 for these, and not in the premium class designation.
