QG, I'd rather have machines in charge than some of the so-called managers we've seen mentioned in too many posts to count. In fact, I think ALL the scumbag managers and slimy, greedy executives who are ruining the world should be "retired" and replaced by machines.
Is moving her head and blinking all she does? I kept waiting for her to stand up and speak like Abe did in Great Moments With President Lincoln. I'm not overly impressed.
Japan plan's to use them for their population problem. I'd advocate continuing this research along the lines of creating prosthetic bodies like in Ghost In The Shell(human brain kept alive in a robotic body with all the sensations and bells & whistles of meat bodies) for people who'd otherwise die from cancer or accidents.
If "information theoretic death" replaces brain death as the legal death consensus, they may also be used for whole brain emulations. None of this is for the near future.
It's creepy.
It looks so realistic, but the way it moves is pure uncanny valley.
Since it seems appropriate for once, though:
怖いね。。。
本当じゃない顔がとっても怖いから、店にこれがないでほしいよ!
目を動き方。。。
嫌だ!

One. Kudos to the Japanese for upping the technology for making a lifesize robot.
Two. THE MACHINES ARE TAKING OVER! KISS YOU ASS GOODBYE EVERYONE! WHERE'S JOHN CONNOR WHEN YOU NEED HIM?

I knew the Japanese would be the first to make sex robots! This is just the first step.
