TaTa - it depends on how it generates the image.
Simply being an A0 compatible printer does not make it a plotter.

Large format printer... Wow. Haven't seen one of those in a while. Wonder if it'd still work if one could find ink and an interface for it...

Saw one exactly like that that was still in use at my last job. It seemed to be a gymungus inkjet printer, rather than a plotter that draws with pens.
