Customer Reject of the Day: Finding the Perfect Box of Cornflakes

I watched an old lady about 4 feet high pull these boxes of cornflakes from the shelf so she could get the one in the back. She walked away with it, holding it in her hands like a trophy, leaving the other three rejected boxes on the floor. I put the them back on the shelf so another old lady wouldn't come along and trip on them.

Well if the person putting them on the shelf is as good as the staff at my place she didn't get the one with the longest shelf life. Sigh. The night staff had to throw over 100 packets of crisps last week because no one was keeping an eye on the dates. We need more training.

Every store in the district I work in of this particular chain does not rotate product, ever. She would be almost guaranteed to get an outdated box by doing that around here.
