Groomzilla Hell: Whisper App Brides Reveal Moments When Their Grooms Went Off The Rails

G2

From Daily Mail:

In a new thread on secret sharing app Whisper exasperated brides-to-be have shared their fiances' paddies and diva demands before their big day.

Making use of the app's anonymity the soon-to-be wives have held back no details of their gripes with their other half.

Among the stories several women admitted that their husband-to-be had insisted on taking part in every area of their bride's planning right down to the hen party and the dress fitting.

In one extreme case a woman admitted that she cancelled the wedding after her fiance showed his true colours in the run up to the big day.

I laughed at the one about how jerk grooms make jerk husbands.

Because as we all know, having a control freak of a groom/bride yet having none of those tendencies show during dating and engagement means that they're obviously a bad person.

I don't necessarily look down on people who are jerks during the lead up to their wedding. For some people, it's a moment they've been dreaming about all their life.

The groom who got pissed because his brother couldn't make it? I'd be pissed too in that situation.

Rysky

Of course you would.

StormofDarkness

Yes. Of course I would. Planning an entire wedding only to find out that my brother wouldn't be able to make it? I'd understand his reasoning but I'd still be pissed nonetheless. Forgive me and my human emotions.

LadyBelle

If you would be that pissed if your brother couldn't make it, maybe you should pay for the expensive tickets to a destination wedding. Not to mention the missed work, passport and all the other outrageous expenses just so they could come watch your performance piece for a couple of hours. Also, the ones that act like a control freak during the wedding but managed to contain it during dating are showing you what they act like under pressure. Issues will happen during marriage, financial, family and otherwise. If you are going to have a spouse that completely loses it when they don't get their way, then it is not going to be a happy marriage.

Rysky

Bingo, Ladybelle.

And on the otber side, we semi-eloped because I didn't want members of my family being stuck trying to afford to bring themselves and thier families from out of state.

And yes StormofDarkness, turning into a crazy, abd cryel control freak during the wedding planning time, is a very good indication of how your significant other handles stress. Many people are either adept at hiding thier mean streaks until they don't need to anymore, or have just plain not been seriously tested before the wedding. If they can't handle a few ups and downs, and less than 100% control during a happy time, They will never be able to handle a real crisis.
