Actually the story of Aladdin is ancient (at least 100s of years) so it's in the public domain.


@Kai, the name Aladdin is Arabic (I think the al- means "of", but don't quote me on that). But the pun is clever.

Al- means "the" - I only remember this because I remember "alchemist" basically means "the chemist".
