I understand the confusion, however the button they are using is a "Zero Force" or "No Touch" style buttons. The "No Touch" I'm guessing is to let the person know that the button will turn on without having the button actually move under the fingers.
I use these where I work now & George Jetson would never get button finger from using this. They are used where a person has to press a button over & over again, like on a manufacturing assembly line to release a part to the next person.
