Obvious retrofit, and the plan from corporate didn't account for the pole. Just 'there is X amount of space from wall to end'.

I feel like this place got a lot of complaints about the stupidity of the workers and this was put in for the customers to hit their head against as it would be unsanitary for them to beat it against the counter. XD
